Known for its gorgeous views, historic homes and quaint shops
A friend of mine introduced me to a lovely resale clothing store named Simple & Just. At first glance, it reminded me of a typical small boutique of stylish clothing, shoes and accessories. After a closer look, I discover something much more. Simple & Just is a nonprofit organization, mostly run by volunteers, that donates 100% of its profits to support and care for victims of commercial sexual exploitation. It provides sustainable funding for agencies in Seattle and Portland who help those who have escaped human trafficking. I love the meaning behind the name, Simple & Just! Here's how it's explained on its website: Simple Bring in your quality gently–loved clothing and accessories for donation right here on Queen Anne Hill while on your errands. It’s convenient, and you might even find a treasure, creating a treasured experience for a woman or child in need. & All of us can participate. The clothing item you have not worn in ages can be someone else’s go-to! What a great opportunity to make a difference. Just 100% of our profits go to holistic support of survivors. Our efforts provide healing care for those who have experienced exploitation. Your choice has POWER for bringing justice to those who need it most. Not everyone can provide individualized care, but everyone can help! As a Seattle resident, please consider donating gently worn clothing, shoes, bags, belts and accessories. Shop and spread the word about Simple & Just to your family and friends.
For visitors, enjoy an hour or two exploring this popular neighborhood. After shopping at Simple & Just, grab lunch at another favorite of mine, Bounty Kitchen, just around the corner. Simple & Just is located at 2213 Queen Anne Avenue N. It's open 10 am – 6 pm, Tuesday – Saturday (Closed Sunday and Monday) NOTE: You can drop off donations during business hours. No appointment needed.

I was introduced to Three Birds Home and Gifts by my daughter, Sara. She bought me a beautiful, ebony necklace and an assortment of organic teas for Christmas from this unique, fun and creative boutique in Upper Queen Anne.
