Known for its gorgeous views, historic homes and quaint shops
Bounty Kitchen is another hidden gem that’s become one of my favorite places to eat in Seattle. It offers fresh, local and organic ingredients in a menu that includes soups, salads, sandwiches and great bowls of goodness. You’ll see daily specials on the blackboard as you enter and brunch is served all day, every day. I felt comfortable the first time I walked through the door. The atmosphere is light and airy. The servers are courteous and friendly. And, there's lots of seating inside and out on the patio. You order at the counter from a menu that you pick up as you enter. Since I try to avoid gluten and dairy, I’m always pleased to see a restaurant call out dietary restriction on the menu. You’ll find vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options. The food is healthy and so are the portions. One of my favorite salads is the Spicy Southern Not-Fried Chicken Salad (pictured above left with roasted pecans on top). At first glance, you might wonder how I could finish it. Not to worry! Every bite is a mixture of imaginative ingredients that are chock full of flavor and textures that work well together. Just thinking about it makes me want to head there right now! My friend, Janis, loved the Havana Libre Bowl and Garbanzo Bean Soup (pictured above center).
Bounty Kitchen offers a good selection of juices, Kombucha, beer, wine and cocktails. They serve Caffe Vita coffee and cold brew, plus several organic hot teas. Flavored or plain water comes with your meal. Both, the cucumber mint and the lemon lime (pictured above right) are cool and refreshing. On my next visit, I'll be ordering the Tumeric Tastic juice made with tumeric, oranges and carrots. It sounds amazing! Bounty Kitchen is located at 7 Boston Street. It's open daily from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.
